Two Blue Screws is the blog of a firearms industry professional. I have other interests outside the industry that provide balance in my life. Jack of all trades and master of none. Inch deep and a mile wide. The more diverse my interests are, the more joy I seem to get from each hobby, and the less my OCD kicks in.

I am learning to master the art of “good enough” when it comes to hobbies. This blog, while centered around firearms more times than not, will often explore aspects of all my interests. Writing is more therapeutic for me than anything else, so don’t expect high volumes of content. I am ridiculously busy and will write when I feel like doing so. I won’t get caught up in some never-ending feedback loop that turns this from enjoyable to stressful. It’s exactly why I have zero social media, so if you want to communicate, this is the place.

It is possible that some products shown or talked about here I will have affiliation with, and therefore I may inadvertently introduce bias. I will not state affiliation, or lack thereof, on any products, however, please understand this is a personal blog and if I speak highly (or less than highly) of a product, it attempts to come from the most objective mindset possible.

Finally, I use a few websites almost exclusively for buying, selling, trading and overall hobby discussion. My name on all of the forums is the same. If you are interested in following me there, please reach out and I will give you my screenname.

The main forum I use is The Outdoors Trader which is a southeast-based online trading platform and forum with a great group of members. There is always great discussion about various topics surrounding the firearms industry and accompanying hobbies. It features a very healthy classified section with one of, if not THE, best feedback system I have seen. Admittedly I am a bit biased as I co-founded the site with a friend back in May of 2010:

TheOutdoorsTrader.com

The other I use is Snipers Hide which is a wealth of knowledge from many industry subject matter experts and also has a healthy classified section that caters more to the high-end consumer. They also offer training videos and run great articles on products and techniques:

SnipersHide.com

There are a few other small hobby forums that I am a member of that I use less frequently, but I still can be found in discussions from time to time or participating in buying, selling, and trading. Those are as follows:

ar15.com

watchuseek.com

minitrucktalk.com
